Two Friars to be Ordained

The Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great will joyfully celebrate the ordinations of Br. Dominick Reed Jean, OP, and Br. Joseph Van Havermaet, OP, to the priesthood on Saturday, May 16, 2026. 

Through the laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination, the two friars will enter more deeply into the Dominican mission of preaching the Gospel, celebrating the sacraments, and serving the people of God. Family members, fellow friars, friends, and supporters from across the Province will gather for this significant moment in the life of the Order. 

Rooted in prayer, study, community life, and service, Br. Dominick and Br. Joseph have spent years preparing for priestly ministry as members of the Order of Preachers. Their ordinations are both a personal milestone and a joyful occasion for the wider Dominican family and the many communities they will serve in the years ahead.
