Nine Brothers Profess Their Vows
With great joy, we give thanks to God for the profession of vows by nine brothers of the Province of St. Albert the Great. The Profession Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in River Forest, Illinois. The profession was also live-streamed on YouTube.
The Province rejoices with Br. Joseph Cullen Hilliker, Br. Andrés María Trujillo, Br. Bernard Wierdak, Br. Jacob Mazur-Batistoni, and Br. Augustine Culligan, who made their Solemn Profession. Through these vows, they joyfully offered their lives permanently to God and to the Order of Preachers.
We also celebrate Br. Pier Giorgio Honner, Br. John Rickert, Br. Elijah Danaher, and Br. Francisco Carreón, who made their Simple Profession, promising to live the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for the next three years. Following prayerful discernment and with the guidance of the prior provincial, Fr. Louis Morrone, OP, they will continue their Dominican formation and begin graduate studies at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.
Surrounded by family, friends, and their Dominican brothers, including members of the lay and priestly fraternities, these nine men celebrated a significant and grace-filled moment in their vocations. Rooted in prayer, devoted to study, and sent forth to preach the Gospel, they now continue the mission of St. Dominic with renewed faith, generosity, and joy.
We celebrate with them and ask God to bless them abundantly as they persevere in their vocations and proclaim the Truth for the salvation of souls.
