Dominican Appeal for Venezuela

In the wake of the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026, the Master of the Dominican Order, Fr. Gerard Francisco Timoner III, OP, invites all members of the Dominican Family, along with our friends and supporters, to respond generously to the needs of the Venezuelan people. Fr. Gerard’s message reads, in part:

“United with Pope Leo XIV in his appeal for prayer and solidarity with the people of Venezuela, and inspired by his generous gesture of providing an initial financial contribution to support the Church in Venezuela, I invite all members of the Dominican Family, together with all people of good will, to join this campaign of solidarity with generosity and compassion.

Every contribution, whatever its size, represents a concrete gesture of fraternity and an expression of the evangelical commitment that unites us as a Dominican family and as members of one human family.”
