Why Are You Looking at the Sky? Living Full of the Holy Spirit

Remote video URL

Following our celebration of the Ascension of the Lord, Father Jim Marchionda, OP, joins us from Chicago with a challenging reminder for the week ahead.

In the Acts of the Apostles, two men in white ask the disciples a pointed question: "Why are you standing there looking at the sky?" It’s a call to action—a reminder that the work of Jesus is now in our hands. Fr. Jim reflects on a second powerful moment from Acts where Paul meets disciples who had "never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."

As baptized believers, we don't have that excuse! We are called to be "full of God." This means that every thought, every word, and every action should be a living witness to the Spirit dwelling within us. Let’s move beyond just "staring at the sky" and start living as people who are truly alive in the Spirit.

✨ **Key Takeaway:** You are more than just a person created in God's image; through the Holy Spirit, you are full of God. Let your life prove it to the world.
