For Thursday of the Sacred Triduum
As we enter into the most solemn and holy time of the Church year, beginning tonight with the Mass of the Lord's Supper, we are invited to actively walk with Jesus through His Passion—from the Last Supper and the agony in the garden, to His crucifixion on Good Friday, the silence of Holy Saturday, and the exuberant joy of Easter Sunday. As we remember Christ washing the feet of His disciples and instituting the Eucharist, we are reminded that everything He did was born out of pure, perfect love for us.
This Holy Week, let us not take our redemption for granted. Allow yourself to be deeply moved by the mystery of Christ's love, and if possible, participate in the Triduum liturgies at your local parish.
