On this 6th Day in the Octave of Christmas, join Father Scott Steinkerchner, OP for "A Word of Hope." Today’s reflection brings us into the Temple with and an encounter with the prophet Anna.
While shepherds had angels appear to tell them of the holy birth and Simeon had his own explicit revelation from God about it, Anna simply lived every moment attentive to God working in the world. So when she heard about Jesus, she immediately recognised the significance of this great event, and spoke of it to everyone who was awaiting the deliverance of Jerusalem.
