Recalling King David eating the consecrated bread of the temple (1 Samuel 21), Jesus reveals what is truly sacred: above temples and liturgy stands the human being who feels and suffers. As Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus is the new law — God's love incarnate who always chooses what gives life.
