In this Word of Hope reflection for Tuesday of the 15th Week in Ordinary Time (Memorial of St. Kateri Tekakwitha), Father Dominic Holtz explores Jesus' rebuke of Bethsaida and Chorazin. What were those "mighty works" that should have turned their lives around? Fr. Dominic reveals that the greatest miracles aren't exorcisms or healingsโ€”but the transformation of hearts. Discover how St. Kateri found Christ in the midst of suffering, and how those same mighty works are available to us today.

๐Ÿ™ Key Message: "We have our own experience of forgiveness in confession. We have the sacramental presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. We see conversion in our own lives and the lives of others. Those are mighty deeds, brothers and sisters. And they're motives for us to re-examine our own lives, to give ourselves over more fully to Him who claimed us in our baptism."

๐ŸŒŸ About St. Kateri Tekakwitha: Known as the "Lily of the Mohawks," St. Kateri (1656-1680) was the first Native American saint canonized by the Catholic Church. Despite losing her family, suffering from smallpox, and facing opposition from her tribe, she found Christ through Jesuit missionaries and lived a life of heroic virtue and devotion.
