Let Go and Let God: Freedom from the Slavery of Sin

Remote video URL

In today’s Word of Hope for Tuesday of the 14th Week in Ordinary Time, Fr. Andrew Carl Wisdom, O.P., reflects on God as our divine lifeguard—ready to rescue us from the slavery of sin, fear, and destructive habits.

Drawing from the collect of the Mass and the readings from the Prophet Hosea and the Gospel, Fr. Andrew invites us to ask:

  • What am I enslaved to?
  • What do I need to let go of so God can truly rescue me?

Whether it’s addictive behavior, negative thinking, destructive relationships, harsh self-judgment, or the subtle idols of comfort and control, the Lord is saying to each of us: “I’m coming in for you. Let go.”

Take a few quiet minutes with this reflection, and let the Lord speak to your heart today.
