Calming the Storm: Faith and Dignity at the Border

Remote video URL

In today’s reflection for Tuesday of the 13th Week in Ordinary Time, Father Brendan Curran joins us again from the heart of the Sonora Desert at the historic Mission San Xavier del Bac.

Standing on the sacred soil of the Tohono O'odham Nation, just miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, Father Brendan reflects on a powerful moment of prayer and advocacy: the gathering of U.S. and Mexican bishops to plead for the dignity and respect of immigrants.

Drawing from today’s Gospel of Jesus calming the storm, we are reminded that our humanity is like that boat. In chaotic and troubled times, how do we find a calming voice? How do we extend dignity to our brothers and sisters fleeing for a new life?

Join us as we explore our calling to be ambassadors of hope, peace, and change in a thirsting world.

**Key Highlights:**
* **The Border Context:** The significance of the U.S. and Mexican bishops meeting for immigrant rights.
* **Gospel Reflection:** Understanding the "storms" of our modern world through the lens of the Apostles in the boat.
* **A Call to Action:** Recognizing the inherent dignity of every human being.
