We Live for That Night: St Catherine of Siena & Blessed Carlos Manuel

Remote video URL

What does it mean to live as a "resurrected people"? In this reflection for Wednesday of the 4th Week of Easter, Father Yamil Samalot Rivera speaks to us from Our Lady of the Rosary Priory in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, about two extraordinary lay people who transformed the Church.

Today, the Dominican family honors **St. Catherine of Siena**, the 14th-century mystic and Doctor of the Church. Simultaneously, Puerto Rico celebrates the 25th anniversary of the beatification of **Blessed Carlos Manuel Rodriguez**, a modern layman who famously taught, *"Vivimos para esa noche"* (We live for that night).

Fr. Yamil explores how both of these saints—centuries apart—were set on fire by the light of Christ, showing us that to embrace the word of Jesus is to embrace the heart of the Father.
