Holy Saturday: The Silence of the Tomb • 4 April 2026

Remote video URL

For Holy Saturday, 4 April 2026.

Today, we enter into a day of profound silence beside the tomb of our Lord Jesus Christ. Looking ahead to Easter morning in the Gospel of John, Father Yamil reflects on Mary Magdalene weeping at the empty tomb. When faced with the darkness of the world, violence, and profound loss, it is easy to ask the same question philosophers have asked: "Is God dead?" But just as Jesus is revealed as the King of Peace amidst turmoil, He remains our ultimate love and hope in our time of turmoil.

May the silence of this Holy Saturday prepare your heart for the joy of the Resurrection, and may the Word of Hope triumph over any despair you are facing. Includes a special Easter blessing in both English and Spanish!
