For Good Friday, 3 April 2026.
On Good Friday, it can feel like all hope is lost amid the darkness, shattered hearts, and profound betrayal. Yet, as Father Brendan reminds us, God so loved the world that he became one of us—not to condemn, but to save. As Jesus bears the heavy cross for humanity, we are faced with a choice: will we fall asleep, turn away, and mock, or will we see the seeds of hope and stand with Christ? Reflecting on the faith of the good thief and Jesus' final words, "I thirst," we are challenged to bring Christ's hope to a world that is hungering and thirsting for it today.
Our Savior shed His blood so that we might live anew. Believe it, live it, and practice it.
