A Word of Hope for Monday, 9 Mar 2026.

Today’s reflection focuses on the Old Testament story of Naaman the Syrian (Exodus 17 / 2 Kings 5), a powerful army commander suffering from leprosy, is told to bathe seven times in the Jordan River to be healed. Initially, he balks at the humble request, believing he has better rivers back home. But when he listens to his servants and humbly follows the instruction, he is healed.

**In this video:**
*   **The Story of Naaman:** Why pride almost prevented his healing.
*   **The Power of Humility:** How listening to others led to a miracle.
*   **Living Water:** Connecting Psalm 42 ("As a deer longs for running streams") to our thirst for God.
*   **A Call for Peace:** Reflecting on the Pope's call to give dialogue a chance in order to heal the scourge of war.

Let us pray today for a heart that longs for God’s healing peace.
