A Word of Hope by Fr. Tom Lynch, OP

In this reflection, we meditate on the powerful words of the Responsorial Psalm: "Let us see your face, O Lord, and we shall be saved." This cry reflects the deep human longing to experience God in a new and tangible reality.

Turning to the beginning of the Gospel of Mark, we see Jesus burst onto the scene, proclaiming that the Kingdom of God is at hand. While the disciples immediately drop everything to follow him, others conspire against him. We are left with a critical question: Are we willing to step out of the darkness, leave our old lives behind, and let the light of his face shine upon us?
