Christmas with Loved Ones, Virtually

As the truly historic pandemic continues and as parishes struggle without the usual gatherings of great crowds for liturgies, our St Martin de Porres Community celebrated Christmas Mass on Zoom with family and friends of the community.  The celebration, presided over by Fr. Mike Winkels, OP with Fr. Scott Steinkerchner, OP preaching, was helped with lectors Christine Bothun and Ann Garrido joining in from online. All together, loved ones from Minnesota, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, and Kentucky joined in the celebration. Despite all of the barriers of pandemic precautions, we discovered a new and creative way to celebrate the birth of Christ, together virtually.
